The 2019 Kia Optima Features

The mid-size car has been in production since 2000 and the South Korean automotive manufacturer, Kia Motors, marketed the second generation of the vehicle in the U.S. under the name of Optima. The third generation of Kia Optima spanned the years between 2010 and 2015, after which the fourth generation had been under production.

The 2019 Kia Optima has been one of the most-awaited releases instead of its interior amenities, sporty features, and sleek look. Taking the Optima’s existing sophisticated design further with updated front fascia, grille and headlights, the new 2019 Kia Optima incorporates top-class Kia features to add value to the vehicle.

2019 Kia Optima features

The 2019 Kia Optima is available in four trim levels that include the 2019 Kia Optima LX, Kia Optima S, Kia Optima EX and Kia Optima SX.

The LX is replete with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that packs 185 horsepower. With a fuel economy of 25 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway, the vehicle features Sportmatic® sports shifting with 6-speed automatic transmission. A panoramic sunroof along with shade and heated and power-adjustable side-view mirrors add to the convenience. 

The “S” trim features rear spoiler at the exterior, pocket lights in the door handle, and the fun features of Smart Welcome and Smart Trunk. ™ The Smart Welcome system activates when the system detects the smart key and automatically unfolds the outside and switches on the door pocket lights. The Smart Trunk™ opens the trunk automatically when it detects the Smart Key.

The EX and SX trims feature turbocharged 4-cylinder engines with the SX packing 245 horsepower. A glossy black sport front grille and black rear spoiler add to the stylish look of the SX. The EX and SX trim feature leather seating and a host of smart safety features. 

Safety features of 2019 Kia Optima

The following are 2019 Kia Optima safety features:

• Integrated LED lights and LED headlights replete with an automatic leveling device are standard with the SX trim. 

• The other safety features include Electronic Stability Control, Side Impact Beams, Blind Spot Warning, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Low Tire Pressure Warning.
